Sparks Black Rifle Announces New Partnership
May 17, 2017 (SPARKS, NEVADA) – Sparks Black Rifle, a premier firearms and accessory dealer located in Sparks, announced today that Gordon Gray, a retired 30+ year law enforcement officer, 21-year SWAT veteran and most recently the owner and lead firearms instructor of Gray Ops Firearms Specialty Training will be taking over management of the store as Vice-President of Operations with the parting of Kevin Jackson. We wish Kevin the best as he moves away from Nevada and on ward to Texas. Our Store Manager Steve Leydecker will continue to run the day to day operations of the store.

NRA America's Rifle Challenge Results

Gray Ops Hosts 2016 California Jr. High School Rodeo State Finals Small Bore Rifle Competition for the 2nd year in a row.
May 12th 2016, we hosted the California Junior High Rodeo Division State Finals, Small Bore Rifle Competition again this year. Thirty-seven competitors from around the state gathered at The Sacramento Valley Shooting Center. The competitors shoot 12 round each from three different positions, Prone, Kneeling, and Standing for a total of 36 rounds. The participants are attending the rodeo in Plymouth throughout the weekend and a competing in many other events. Best of luck to all, wishing all competitors a safe, enjoyable, and successful rodeo. It’s a pleasure to host this event, encouraging the forthcoming leaders of our community.

October 17, 2015, Gray Ops and the Lady Gray Ops Shooting Team ran a stage at the Sacramento Area Law Enforcement Chaplaincy Annual Shooting Competition fundraiser "The Peacemaker Shooting Challenge. It was an honor to be asked if Gray Ops would assist in this year's Shooting Challenge. We had a great time and had the opportunity to meet some many new friends during the day. We look forward to designing our stage and running it again.

Gray Ops Hosts California Jr. High School Rodeo State Finals Small Bore Rifle Competition
May 14th 2015, we had the pleasure to host the California Junior High Rodeo Division State Finals, Small Bore Rifle Competition. Twenty-three competitors from throughout the state converged on the Sacramento Valley Shooting Center. A total of 36 rounds were fired by each contestant, 12 rounds Prone, 12 round Standing, and 12 rounds Kneeling. All of the participants are attending the rodeo being held in Plymouth throughout the weekend and a competing in many other events. It was our pleasure to put on this event and work with the future leaders of our state. Best of luck to all, hope you all have a safe, enjoyable, and successful rodeo.

Shane's Range Day
March 15, 2015: This weekend we had a special visitor on the range with us Shane Rogers. Shane and his family live in El Dorado Hills, heis a 3rd grade student in the Buckeye Unified School District. Shane is a courageous boy that was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia in July '12. Shane is a fighter and is still combating some of the side effects of his treatments. We were glad he was able to come out and have a little outside the box kind of fun.
