Challenge Coin

Traditionally, challenge coins are given to prove membership when challenged and to enhance morale.  In practice, challenge coins are normally presented by unit commanders in recognition of special achievement by a member of the unit. They are also exchanged in recognition of visits to an organization.  These coins will be carried by all Gray Ops Instructor’s and will be presented to Gray Ops students who demonstrate, manifest or exhibit improved skills.  Or to an individual who illustrates by example his or her willingness to continue our belief’s.

LOGO

2011 – 2016

2016 – Present

On the logo side are five words that go hand in hand with each other, Accuracy, Consistency, Honor, Respect, and Tradition.

Accuracy & Consistency are found on the outer edges as we are always striving for our students to become more accurate and consistent.  Being Consistent develops Accuracy, while Accuracy increases Consistency.

Between these two words are draped flags, representing our freedom and our belief in our 2nd Amendment.

Inside of the inner circle surrounding the logo are three very prevailing words having a profound significance, Honor – Respect – Tradition.

We Honor our profession as firearms trainers and look upon ourselves as mentors or coaches to treat all our students with fairness and integrity.

We, Respect our colleagues & students to insure excellence with a sense of worth.

Lastly, Tradition, striving to maintain our beliefs and practices for generations to come in developing safe and responsible firearms owners who have the tactical knowledge to survive.
