Greg Faught

Team Leader – Firearms Instructor    


Greg is a retired Sergeant from the Stockton Police Department (Stockton, Ca), after 28 years of honorable, dedicated service.


Greg served as the fulltime Rangemaster and Armorer for the Stockton Police Department. He managed all day to day functions of the department’s range facility of five active ranges including training plans, firearms training, weapons repair, scheduling of facility use, and facility maintenance. He supervised ongoing qualification of all department members on all department weapon systems to include Handgun, Shotgun, and Patrol Rifle. He had the responsibility for the maintenance and documentation of all department weapons.

He has attended several firearms instructor level courses at the state and federal level, as well as the NRA and IALEFI. He has coordinated and instructed at an FBI Firearms Instructors Course for Police Firearms Instructors from throughout California. He recently attended the NRA’s Law Enforcement Activities Division, Tactical Shooting Instructor School.  October 2013, Greg attended Paul Howe’s Combat Shooting & Tactics, Tactical Rifle Instructor’s Course.  He has attended numerous Law Enforcement Armorer courses. He is certified in the maintenance and repair of the Sig family of pistols, Remington shotguns, AR/M16/M4 platform weapons, Penn Arms/Sage Control 37mm and 40mm weapons and others.

He worked a variety of assignments including: Uniformed patrol for over 20 years, traffic investigations (Hit and Run), Street Crimes Unit (High profile work targeting gang activity, plainclothes work conducting street level drug buy/busts and prostitution missions, and assignment as an Auto Theft Detective.) Over the years he has received numerous commendations from his agency for actions taken in hostage incidents, in progress shootings/homicides, and in progress armed robberies. 

Greg earned Gold medals in the CA Police Summer Games (Olympics) in Action Pistol (PAP) in both “A” and “Master” class. He served as Match Director of this event in 2004, coordinating the event with over 300 individual and team competitors.

He served as an FBI certified Hazardous Devices/Bomb Technician for over 13 years. He served as the FBI Bomb Squad Commander/Point of Contact for San Joaquin County. He has attended numerous explosive related training courses at the state and federal level and is one of his agencies senior Bomb Technicians. He co-presented an IED recognition seminar at a national level Homeland Security conference in 2008 and has presented a variety of explosives related training to several hundred personnel. Greg is certified as an Explosive Breacher and holds a Limited Blaster’s License from the state regulatory agency.

Greg served in the California Army National Guard as a Pathfinder (Airborne) from 1982-1988 and received an Honorable Discharge.

Greg has trained with the International Training Group (ITG) extensively in the field of executive protection and has operated internationally with them.

Greg has a strong belief in the emphasis upon solid weapon manipulation skills, mastery of the shooting fundamentals, and the application of good tactics. He looks forward to working side by side with you, giving his best effort so that you will “Go home at the end of the day.”
